Our Aims

Rainbow Rovers is dedicated to raising global awareness, and delivering practical solutions to the Sahrawi people and grassroots organisations working within the camps. Our missions focus on providing materials, school supplies, sports equipment, and infrastructure for sustainable food growth in the desert.

Since 1976, the Sahrawi people have lived in displaced camps near Tindouf, facing one of the world's most protracted refugee crises. Our mission is to raise global awareness of their situation while providing immediate, tangible support to the most vulnerable families.

The Sahrawi: A Community in Exile

Through Rainbow Rovers, we deliver school supplies for the youth, sports equipment to foster community spirit, and poly tunnels that enable families to grow fresh food in the harsh desert environment, ensuring long-term dignity and sustainability.

Cultivating Knowledge & Growth

School Supplies

Empowering the next generation by providing essential educational kits, including notebooks, pencils, and textbook sets. Our mission ensures that even in the most remote desert camps, children have the physical tools and academic foundation required to continue their learning journey and thrive.

Sports Equipment

Fostering physical health and community resilience through supporting the various sports clubs active in the camps. By encouraging structured play and teamwork, they help young people build leadership skills and find a much-needed emotional outlet within their daily lives.

Poly Tunnels & Food

Strengthening local self-sufficiency by delivering high-quality building materials and structural components for poly tunnels. These systems enable consistent vegetable production in extreme desert climates, providing families with long-term nutritional security and agricultural empowerment.

Sports & Community Spirit

We contribute sports equipment to promote physical activity and foster a resilient community spirit among Sahrawi youth. These initiatives provide more than just recreation; they build leadership, teamwork, and a sense of belonging in the heart of the desert.

Partner Oransiation: Growing Hope Project

Our partners, Growing Hope, manage a 16-acre site within the camps. This vital 16-acre farm produces essential fresh fruit and vegetables despite the extreme climate. Their community hub and mental health garden offer a rare green sanctuary. As sandstorms intensify, sturdy poly tunnels are now critical for shielding vulnerable seedlings from destruction.

Support the Sahrawi People

The convoys aim to deliver essential humanitarian aid to the Saharawi refugee camps in Algeria, focusing on providing food infrastructure,  supplies, and other critical resources. We also seek to raise awareness and support for the Saharawi's struggle for self-determination, fostering international solidarity and collaboration.
